Health Insurance Coverage

If your therapy is being paid for in full or in part by a Health Insurance Provider, there are usually limitations to your rights as a client imposed by your contract with them. These may include their decision to limit the number of sessions available to you, to decide the time period within which you must complete your therapy, or to require you to use medication if their reviewing professional deems it appropriate. Insurance providers also customarily require some sort of detailed reports of your progress in therapy on a regular basis (and on occasion, copies of your case file). Renovo does not have control over any aspect of your insurance provider’s rules.

Renovo Counseling is an In Network provider for Anthem BCBS – IN, but not for Hoosier Healthwise (HHW) or Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP). We will submit claims for Anthem BCBS - IN members according to your policy provisions. You are responsible for any deductibles or co-pays outlined in your policy, as well as any non-reimbursable services fees.

Renovo cannot bill other insurance companies and, as such, you will be billed our standard fees. You may seek reimbursement from your healthcare insurance company and we are happy to provide you with any documentation you might need. While many clients are successful in seeking reimbursement for at least a portion of their therapy fees, please remember that reimbursement is considered a matter between you and your insurance company. Always check with them directly for questions about your coverage. If you choose to use your insurance, it is your responsibility to contact your carrier prior to beginning treatment to understand your policy coverage and procedures for obtaining any reimbursement.

There are some service fees that are rarely reimbursed regardless of plan, such as late charges, extensive phone consultations, or cancellation charges.

Self Pay

If you are uninsured or do not wish to use your Health Care Insurance benefits, we will work with you to determine a reasonable rate for services. Any self pay arrangements are your personal responsibility and payments cannot be billed to an insurance provider at any time.

Payment Information

Payment is due in advance or at the beginning of each counseling session (self pay, co pay, deductible, or co-insurance). We accept cash, check, and credit / debit cards. If you intend to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card, please check with your employer and/or insurance provider regarding any requirements to be met for Behavioral Health payments.
